This is one of my favorite shots, and quite possibly one of the best taken in Delaware. Only some of my best shots make it to my wall, and this is one of them. These WWII era towers are a very popular photographic subject for a lot of people. Why do I like it? Old structures are a favorite of mine, as well as the super blue sky that you rarely see in real life. I like the fact that the sand is clean, but still has its own patterns to it. I almost missed this shot, because some other dope was right outside the frame on the lefthand side. I walked from Rehoboth to this tower, which is a few miles. I am sure there was a shorter way to get there, but like every photo, it has a story.
