Structural Strength
Here is my photo “Structural Strength”. I chose this photo for the TWIP photo contest this week. It is an image that I took long ago with my Nikon FM-10 SLR. Now diving down this path, I did shoot some newer images for this contest, but this older one hit the spot in my mind. I had to actually use the scanner, which was a pain, because it is not the newest greatest, but I got sufficient results to enter my image.
My critique of this image is a little difficult. I love taking photos of architecture, especially where there are redundant themes and symmetry. I have left out the fact that this is a film shot, therefore not as large or as clear as my normal DSLR images. The one pillar is blown out on the right hand side, totally white, which doesn’t please me, but overall this is one of my favorite images. I like that I can see the texture on the pillars as well.
