The Adventure Begins
So with each photo that I post, I will post my thoughts and critique of my own photo. Not every photo I post will be perfect but more of a work in progress. Some good advice that I have been given is to become a better photographer, you have to look at photos. Not just your own, but everyone’s.
So this photo that I have posted was taken at the Northeast Import Off-Road Association’s annual Spring Run. There weren’t many photos this day, because of an equipment fubar, so for a point and shoot shot, this turned out well. I entered the photo in the TWIP photo contest that they have about every two weeks, and plan on entering again to keep my skills sharpened.
I titled this photo “adventure” because it depicts a journey where you know where you are going, but the events during that journey are completely unknown. My critique of this image is short. I like the spotty trees in the background, and the color of the front two trucks in the foreground are nice, but I regret not framing the shot a little better on the left hand side. What I was trying to capture was the curve of the vehichles in the convoy, in the process cropping the one corner, but overall I am pleased with it.
